This month will be a Native Plant Club x Possum Posse Bike Club bike ride. We’ll be meeting at Santa Fe Dam and identify plants along the bike path. Bring sunscreen, water, and a lunch for a picnic. We’ll have snacks and water, too! Check out upcoming post for meet up location.

The Native Plant Club focuses on California native plants and aims to support local habitat restoration in the San Gabriel Valley. The upcoming session will feature potting black walnuts. Learn and contribute to the growth of native plants!

Join us for an evening under the moon as we celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, honoring tradition, community, and the spirit of giving. This unique gathering is aiming not only to entertain but to foster community through support for the Matilija Lending Library.

All proceeds from the evening will go to Matilija Lending Library. Your participation will help fund our ongoing programs and events, ensuring that the library remains open as a community space.

There is a suggested donation of $25 per person but no one will be turned away! Free admission for our monthly supporters on Ko-fi.

The monthly Nono Book Club in-person meeting will feature a discussion on Octavia Butler's Kindred. This captivating novel centers on Dana, a modern-day African American woman who finds herself transported back to the antebellum South.

Next Friday, August 4th, we're hosting a beginner Hip Hop fundamentals event from 7 pm to 8 pm, led by Charles Nguyen! You might recognize @charlesvnguyen as a co-founder and former member of the American Dance Crew Poreotics. Nowadays, he brings his incredible talent and energy to the Kinjaz as a dancer and choreographer.

Whether you're new to hip hop or just want to sharpen your skills, this is an opportunity to learn from one of the best. We're excited to be hosting this event at the Matilija Lending Library.

Although the event is open to everyone, we suggest a donation of $15-$25 to support us in organizing more such events in the future. We hope to see you there!
